I'm a Hungary based cinematographer, camera operator and TV-cameraman.
At the age of 23, learning acting, I got into a film shooting as a background artist. The work of the camera crew and the lighting department had a great influence on me. Soon I realised that the cinematographer's work stands closer to me than acting. After that, I applied to a film school to study cinematography.
My main focus is narrative filmmaking, but I also shoot documentaries and do post-production. In addition, I write screenplays and direct short works. I believe that sometimes it is just fine if the camera stands still and does not enter the scene. Every take must have a reason and meaning, no matter where the camera is placed. I prefer the classic way of filmmaking, but I am open to innovations. Beside cinematography, the good script, accurate dramaturgy and authentic acting are also very important to me. If it's about camera movements, my preferred technique is handheld camera, but I like using other techniques as well. During my career, I have made a lot of short films, documentaries, music videos, image films, concert films, commercials and a feature film. I have won some awards as a filmmaker.
Beside Hungarian filmmakers, I have worked with English, Italian, German, Finnish, Polish, Brazilian, Venezuelan and Mexican filmmakers.
During my career I have worked as background artist, stand-in, actor, screenwriter, assistant director, director, lighting technician, photographer, graphic artist, film editor, dolly grip, video technician, camera technician, assistant camera, steadicam assistant, camera operator but first and foremost as a Cinematographer.
